JUSTINIAN I. 527-565 AD. Æ Decanummium (3.76 gm). Perugia(?) mint. Dated RY 26 (552/3 AD). Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Large I; cross above, date across field; P in exergue (mintmark?). DOC I 357.1; MIB I 101a (uncertain Italian mint); SB 328. Good VF, jade green patina. ($200)
The attribution to Perugia remains conjectural. Hahn attributes it to an uncertain Italian mint (MIB I 101a), active during Justinian's reconquest.
