LEO III, the Isaurian, with CONSTANTINE V, Copronymus. 720-741 AD. PB Bulla (34mm, 22.38 gm). Imperial Kommerkion of Asia and Caria. Dated IY 7 (738/9 AD). Crowned half length figures of Leo III and Constantine, each wearing chlamys and holding cross between them / TWN/ BACILIK/WN KOMM/EPKIWN AC/IAC S KAPI/AC IZ in six lines. Unpublished (but see pedigree). Choice EF, exceptional green patina with earthen highlights. ($1000)
