Ex Vecchi I (1-2 February 1996), lot 1212.With no coins to his name, his lead seals are the only quasi-numismatic relics of the only Englishman elected to the throne of St. Peter, Nicholas Brekespear of St. Albans. His most famous and far-reaching papal act was the Donation of Ireland in 1156, granting Henry II of England dominion over Ireland.
