ROMAN ERA. Roman. Silver Fibula. Circa 3rd-4th century AD. Length 21mm. A small brooch pin in the form of a displayed imperial eagle, the wings and body inlaid with strips of copper. Pin intact but rusted shut. Unusual item, looks like it may be some sort of legionary's service pin. Choice condition, a little encrusted. ($200)
