ROMAN ERA. Roman. Bronze Medusa Appliqué. Circa 2nd-3rd century AD. Diameter 39mm. A round bronze applique with a high relief representation of a winged head of Medusa, with snakes below her chin. Cast and chased, with added engraved details. Remains on iron shank on reverse. Attractive ancient good luck charm. Choice condition, dark green patina. ($200)
