CELTIC, Central Gaul. The Arverni. Early-mid 1st century BC. AV Stater (6.74 gm, 3h). Laureate male head left / Horse galloping left; lobster-like creature with human head above, ornaments in fields. Nash 409-410; KMW -; De la Tour 3698-3699. VF. Very rare; Nash notes this issue as an "irregular type." ($4000)
