Charioteer driving slow biga of mules left, holding kentron in right hand, reins with both; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer; two dolphins in exergue / MESS-AN-ION, hare springing right; below, head of Pan right. Caltabiano 611 (D219/R240 - this coin listed as specimen 24); SNG ANS 371 var. (same obverse die, head of Pan left); SNG Copenhagen 404 (same dies); BMC Sicily pg. 104, 50 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 1100 (same dies); Jameson 655 (same dies); McClean 2396 (same dies). Good VF, nick on horse's shoulder, some obverse die wear. Nicely centered and well struck. ($3000)
