MACEDON, Under Roman Rule. Uncertain mint. Circa 166-165 BC. Æ 23mm (11.33 gm, 7h). Facing mask of Silenos wearing ivy wreath / MAKE/DONWN in two lines; D above; all within wreath of ivy. MacKay pg. 8; Touratsoglou, Macedon, pl. 7, 25; AMNG III pg. 8, 6; SNG Copenhagen 1324. Good VF, dark green patina, small scratch on reverse. Exceptional without signs of an undertype. ($750)
