AITOLIA, Aitolian League. Circa 211-196 BC. AR Stater (10.65 gm, 4h). Korkyraean standard. Laureate and diademed head of young man right; FI below / AITWLWN, Aitolos standing left, kausia hung around neck, holding spear in right hand, wearing sword, resting right foot on rock. Cf. De Laix issue 8-15; BMC Thessaly pg. 195, 9; SNG Copenhagen 4 (same reverse die). Good VF, attractively toned, struck with slightly worn obverse die. ($2000)
