AV KAI M AV PH KOMODOC, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / EPI CTP P AI PIOV KOINON OMONO, PERGAMHNWN KAI EFECIWN, cult statue of Artemis Ephesia facing and Asklepios, standing facing, head left, holding serpent-entwined staff. Franke & Nollé 1545; SNG France -; cf. BMC Mysia pg. 164, 354 (with Nike on reverse); SNG Copenhagen -; SNG von Aulock -. Good VF, dark green patina, obverse double struck. Very rare, probably the second known and finest specimen. ($1000)
