AVT KAI L CEP CEOVHPOC PER, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / EPI CTP MOCX OV B PERGAMHNWN QUATEIRHNWN OMONOIA, Asclepius of Pergamum standing right, holding serpent-entwined staff, and Apollo Tyrimnaeus of Thyatira standing left. Franke & Nollé 2297; BMC Lydia -; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG von Aulock -; Mabbott 1856. VF, dark reddish brown patina, smoothed and tooled. Very rare. ($750)

Franke & Nollé describe three varieties of this medallion, based on perceived minor differences in the figure of Apollo and the reverse legends. Examination of the published specimens suggests they are in fact all one type, the differences being due to wear and subsequent tooling on the different specimens.
