CYPRUS. Faustina Sr. and Galerius Antoninus. Circa 140 AD. Æ 29mm (11.33 gm, 12h). QEA FAV CTEINA, veiled and draped bust of Faustina right / M GALEPIOC ANTWNINOC AVTOKPATOPOC ANTWNINOV VIOC, bare headed and draped bust of the infant Galerius Antoninus right. Lindgren III 940; Cohen 2 (Galerius and Faustina); Vagi 1517. Good VF, reddish brown patina, a few small spots of encrustation and pitting. Very rare in this condition. ($3000)

The attribution to Cyprus is uncertain. This is one of the only portrait issues of Galerius, son of Antoninus Pius, who died in infancy.
