IMP NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GERM P M TR P XIII P P, laureate head right, wearing slight beard / ROMA in exergue, S C across field, Roma seated left on cuirass, holding spear in right hand and leaning left forearm on shield set on bow case; greave on ground before. RIC I 356; WCN 168 var. (shield set on helmet); BMCRE 116 var. (shield set on greave); BN 427 var. (shield set on helmet); Cohen 285 var. (same). EF, green and brown patina with minor flecks of black, trace of smoothing in fields. ($3000)
