ANCIENT. INDIA. Kushans. Kujula Kadphises ('Heraios'). Circa 30/50-80 AD. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 13.17 gm). Diademed and draped bust right / King on horseback right, crowned by Nike. J. Cribb, "The 'Heraus' coins: their attribution to the Kushan King Kujula Kadphises, c. AD 30-80" in Essays to Carson and Jenkins, legend group XIII; Alram 1264. VF, rough. Scarce.

Cribb arranged the issues of the Heraios coinage according to the degree of fidelity and accuracy in the Greek reverse legend. Legend Group XIII is the most corrupt. The legend on this particular example does not exactly match any of the listed variants.
