PERSIA. Achaemenid Empire. Time of Darios I-Xerxes I. Circa 505-480 BC. AR Siglos (13mm, 5.38 gm). Persian king or hero in kneeling/running stance right, drawing bow / Incuse punch. Carradice Type II (pl. XI, 12-13); Carradice, "Two Achaemenid Hoards," NumChron 1998, 89-98 (same reverse punch). Nice VF, attractively toned, choice flan. Scarce early issue.
