PHRYGIA, Amorium. Augustus. 27 BC-14 AD. Æ 17mm (5.61 gm). Alexandros, magistrate. Bare head right, simpulum before / ALEXAND[POC AMOPIANWN], eagle standing right with caduceus over shoulder. RPC I 3230/3233 (same obverse die as 3230, reverse as 3233); cf. BMC Phrygia pg. 50, 23; cf. SNG Copenhagen 120. Fine, reddish-brown patina. Apparently an unrecorded variety.
