LYDIA, Tmolus-Aureliopolis. Antinoüs, favorite of Hadrian. Died 130 AD. Æ 25mm (11.15 gm, 7h). Bare-headed and draped bust right / Tmolus(?) standing left, holding knotted staff, empty basket on head; uncertain object in right field. Blum p. 51, 1; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG von Aulock 3240. Fine, black-brown patina. Very rare issue of a rare city; only the third known specimen. ($1000)
