Justinian, helmeted, standing facing, holding akakia and globus cruciger; palms below arms, star in left field / Large M; monogram above, INDx [+h+] (date) across field; SCL. DOC II 63; Spahr 226; MIB III 72; Grierson 542; SB 1303. Near EF, olive green patina. Rare in this condition. ($300)

Grierson's specimen proves that the description of this type with two stars in the obverse fields is not correct in all instances. None of the descriptions make note of the curious format of the indictional formula with a bold line crossing the base of the D.
