JUSTINIAN II. Second Reign, 705-711 AD. Æ Follis (3.76 gm, 6h). Ravenna mint. Crowned facing bust, holding cross potent and globus cruciger / Large M; ANNO X/X/' across field; [RAV]. DOC II 23; E-C 243; MIB III 54; SB 1445. VF for type, rough olive green patina, lightly smoothed. Overstruck on uncertain type. Rare. ($500)
The date is probably not RY 21, as given in DOC and SB, but rather the typical immobilized year 20 with a contraction mark, as on the Constantinople folles of Justinian's second reign.
