[Antiquities] ROMAN. Gold finger ring. Circa 2nd-3rd century AD. Inner diameter 19mm, total weight (including stones) 3.38 gm. Plain gold band with five inset pale green stones, a central lozenge-shape surrounded by four smaller cabochons. Stones could be low grade emeralds (plasma), green garnets or even glass. Some cracks and dents in the gold settings, some encrustation, otherwise in nice condition. ($400)
