KINGS of MACEDON. Perseus. 179-168 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.71 g, 12h). Attic standard. Pella or Amphipolis mint; Ay-, mintmaster. Struck circa 171-168 BC. Diademed head right / Eagle standing right, wings spread, on thunderbolt; mintmaster's monogram above, control marks to right and between legs; all within oak wreath, plow below. Mamroth, Perseus 15; SNG Alpha Bank -; SNG München -; Jameson 1013; McClean 3675. Good VF, lightly toned, scuff on obverse and reverse edge. ($750)
