PHOENICIA, Byblos. 'Addirmilk. Circa 348-334/3 BC. AR Dishekel (13.01 g, 11h). Three hoplites, holding shields, standing on galley left on waves, prow ending in lion's head; below, hippocamp left above murex, Phoenician "AAZ" above dorsal fin / "[ADR]MLK MLK GBL" above, lion attacking bull to left. Betlyon 18 var. (four hoplites); cf. BMC Phoenicia 10 (1/16 shekel). Good VF, lightly toned, small area of corrosion smoothed in reverse field, die shift. Rare. ($500)
