HADRIAN. 117-138 AD. Æ Dupondius (13.55 g, 12h). Struck circa 134-138 AD. Bare headed and draped bust right / DACIA in exergue, Dacia seated left on rock, holding standard and curved sword. RIC II 850; BMCRE 1745; Cohen 529. Good VF, red-brown patina, minor roughness, double struck reverse. Rare. ($500)
Lot includes an old collection ticket marked "Spink 11 Mar 09" and listed to Cohen 531; a coin of the same type and Cohen attribution was listed as coin 63222 in the Spink Numismatic Circular Vol. XVII, No. 196, March 1909. Possibly the same coin.
