ANASTASIUS II (Artemius). 713-715 AD. Æ Follis (5.50 g, 6h). Syracuse mint. Crowned facing half-length bust, holding globus cruciger and akakia / Large M; monogram above, palms flanking, SCL in exergue. DOC II 13; Spahr 290; BBS 66; MIB III 31; SB 1474. Good VF, dark green patina with patches of red. Overstruck at least twice, once on SB 1301 of Justinian II. Choice for issue. ($300)
