[Antiquities]
GREEK. Gold finger ring. 4th century BC. Inner diameter 18mm. Plain band, hammered flat, with flat oval bezel, 16mm across. The face crudely engraved with a scene of a standing figure holding a wreath above the head of Tyche, who holds a rudder and cornucopiae. This ring conforms very closely to 4th century BC types. If it is not an archaizing style, this is a very early representation of Tyche. Surfaces worn, a V-notch cut in the band (test cut?). Rare early Greek gold ring. ($1500)
