[Antiquities] ROMAN. Silver applique of Minerva. 2nd-3rd century AD. Height 22mm. Three-dimensional cast and engraved portrait bust of Minerva, wearing high-crested helmet and aegis. Finely chased details on aegis and face. Traces of gilding, remains of pin on back for attachment to larger object such as a phalera. Excellent condition, slight porosity under an attractive patina.
