PADUAN, after Giovanni Cavino. Commodus. 177-192 AD. Æ Medallion (37mm, 36.59 g). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / Salus seated left, holding patera from which she feeds serpent coiled around a tree; statue of Bacchus(?) atop low column before. Cf. Klawans pp. 96-7, 1; Vierordt 1749. Good VF, minor professional repair above bust. An early cast.
