ARCADIUS. 383-408 AD. Æ 14mm (1.16 g, 12h). Constantinople mint. Struck 392-395 AD. Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right / Emperor on horseback right, raising right hand; CONS
G. RIC IX 89b (unlisted with officina); LRBC 2190. Near VF, brown patina, irregular flan.
Since Arcadius was the junior of the three emperors, and other coins of this issue at Constantinople bear officina letters up to Delta, is stands to reason that this Arcadius, listed in RIC without an officina letter, should in fact have a Gamma (as here). Perhaps it was unclear on the then known specimens.
