BOIOTIA, Federal Coinage. 287-244 BC. Æ 16mm (2.43 g, 3h). Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet / Poseidon, naked, standing left, holding dolphin in right hand, trident in left; monogram to lower left, BOIWTWN downward on right. Cf. Head, Boeotia p. 87 = Imhoof-Blumer, Münzkunde, p. 325, 8 (no monogram mentioned). VF, dark brown patina. Extremely rare. ($200)

The fact that this piece shares the same monogram with the coins in lots 83, 84, and 88 above, makes it contemporary with them. Its entry therefore on p. 87 of Head, Boeotia should be transferred to p. 83 and its dating changed accordingly.
