BOIOTIA, Haliartos. Circa 475-450 BC. AR Drachm (6.14 g). Boiotian shield with plain rim / Square incuse with anticlockwise mill-sail pattern; refined aspirate in centre. Head, Boeotia p. 14; SNG Stockholm 1387 corr. (drachm not stater); Weber 3205. VF, non-uniform but attractive toning, struck on a broad flan. Very rare. ($1000)
