BOIOTIA, Koroneia. Circa 400-350 BC. Lot of two AR Obols. Both coins: Boiotian shield / Ethnic across field, gorgoneion without protruding tongue; all in incuse circle. Varieties: (a) 0.86 g. Ethnic as (K retrograde)-O. SNG Cop. 185 (same rev. die); SNG Lockett 1718 = Pozzi 1372 = Pozzi (Boutin) 3186 (this coin). Rare // (b) 0.78 g. Ethnic as K-O; gorgon stylistically more developed. Head, Boeotia p. 45; Dewing 1487 (same rev. die). Rare. Both coins VF. Two (2) coins in lot. ($500)
