BOIOTIA, Mykalessos. Circa 400-375 BC. AR Obol (1.03 g). Boiotian shield / Vertical thunderbolt between M-Y; all in concave circle. Head, Boeotia p. 47, pl. IV, 4 = BMC 1, pl. VIII, 1; SNG Cop. 190-191. Good VF, light toning. Overstruck on uncertain type (possibly Larissa). ($200)

The reverse of this coin shows signs of being overstruck and the undertype appears to be a head with flowing hair. The most likely candidate would then be one of the very rare early facing head Larissa obols.
