BOIOTIA, Thebes. Circa 480-460 BC. AR Stater (12.22 g). Boiotian shield / Square incuse with clockwise mill-sail pattern; archaic Q in centre. Head, Boeotia p. 16, vii; SNG Cop. 248. Good VF, dark grey tone with blue, red, and gold iridescence in and around the devices. Well centered and struck. ($1000)
