ISLANDS off ATTICA. Aegina. Circa 456/45-431 BC. AR Stater (12.30 g, 10h). Land tortoise with segmented shell / Large incuse square of heavy skew pattern. Milbank pl. 2, 12; Dewing 1683; SNG Copenhagen 516; BMC 146. Near EF, toned. Well struck and centered on a broad flan encompassing the entire tortoise. ($1500)
