There is quite a bit of disagreement about the date of this type. Dumbarton Oaks lists the year as 24, Hahn records two dates, a regnal year of 22 and an Indictional year of three, Sear notes the regnal year as 19, and at least one of the examples illustrated in the Ravenna Museum catalogue seems to be undated. All known specimens are badly struck and poorly preserved, and it is possible that all are the same date in varying degrees of distortion. The present example appears to be year 22.
