A taler of August of Saxony, dated 1565, countermarked on reverse with two punches: horseman right with monogram below in dotted circle (Type II) and date in plain rectangle (Type III). Coin: Davenport 9795; Countermarks: cf. Efimki 1056 (date unlisted); Kaim I p. 126-129; KM -. Coin VF, c/ms VF, toned. Both countermarks very weak. ($750)
