North Eastern I (Mercia) mint; Winele, moneyer. +ÆDELSTAN RE, small cross / PINE/LE MO in two lines; trefoils above and below, three crosses between. Blunt, Aethelstan, 408; SCBI 34 (BM), 235 = BMC 132 (same rev. die); North 668; SCBC 1089. Good VF, even gray tone with golden hues around the devices, some flat spots on obverse. ($1000)
