CAROLVS D G MAG BRITAN FRAN ET HIB REX, half-length armored figure of king right, holding sceptre and orb; mm: thistle and B / HIS • PRÆSVM • VT • PROSIM •, crowned coat-of-arms; flanked by crowned C R with diamonds. Burns 3 (fig. 1032); SCBI 35 (Ashmolean), 1392 (same dies); SCBC 5531. Good VF, toned, faint adjustment marks, struck from rusty dies. ($3000)
