[Roman Imperial] MIXED LOT. 4th century AD. Lot of six hundred sixty Late Roman Imitative Æ. Lot is comprised of a parcel of late Roman bronzes, imitating types from the Constantinian period through the earth 5th century. Many unusual pieces which are difficult to trace back to a prototype. The coins are similar to copies produced in Egypt and circulated in the middle east, and the uncleaned rough green-blue patina resembles the patina which can develop in that part of the world. Average VF, poorly struck with rough original patinas. An important assemblage, worthy of further study. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. Approximately six hundred sixty (660) coins in lot. ($500)
