Mn. Cordius Rufus. 46 BC. AR Sestertius (9mm, 0.53 g). Crested helmet / Cupid walking right, holding wreath and palm. Crawford 463/6a; CRI 68; Sydenham 981; Cordia 8. Fine, toned, planchet flaws. Very rare.

This specimen is very light, but other light weight examples exist (see, for instance, BMCRR 4036-7). Because of this low weight, the question arises whether or not these were perhaps meant as dupondii instead of sestertii.
