VESPASIAN. 69-79 AD. Æ As (26mm, 12.57 g, 5h). Rome mint. Struck 75/6 AD. IMP CAESAR VESP AVG COS VI, laureate head right / S C across fields, Spes advancing left holding flower and raising skirt. Cf. RIC II 583a; BMCRE 726 var. (COS VII). Good VF, green patina, a little rough, minor smoothing.
It is perhaps possible that the second I of a COS VII is lost in the bust, but that is the only real possibility. There is clearly no room for it anywhere else. Perhaps a new discovery?
