CLAUDIUS. 41-54 AD. Æ Quadrans (16mm, 2.80 g). Struck 41-42 AD. Hand holding scales; PNR below / Legends around large S·C. RIC I 85, 89 or 91; BMCRE 174 or 181. VF, reddish brown surfaces, some roughness. The reverse is off-center in a way that makes certain attribution not possible. The lettering on this specimen is rather crude, perhaps an ancient imitation?
