The Druids were well aware of the traditional image of Pisces, the twelfth house of the Zodiac (two opposed fish conjoined by a bar), and some Icenian Druid was probably responsible for the sign of Pisces being subtly incorporated in the design of this Freckenham gold stater, blending it cleverly with the tribal emblem of two opposed moons.
