PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Arsinoe II, wife of Ptolemy II. Died 270 BC. AR Dekadrachm (36mm, 32.82 g). Struck under Ptolemy II, circa 253/2-246 BC. Diademed and veiled head of Arsinöe II right, lotus-tipped sceptre over shoulder / Double cornucopiae bound with fillet. Cf. Svoronos 938ff; Troxell, ANSMN 28, Group 3. Fine, fields heavily smoothed, removing the control marks behind the head, some tooling on portrait, corrosion on edge.
