MACEDON, Akanthos. Circa 430-390 BC. AR Tetradrachm (14.51 g, 8h). Lion, right, attacking bull kneeling to left; reversed swastika above / Ethnic around quadripartite square, the quarters raised and granulated; all within incuse square. Unpublished in the standard references. Near EF, slight die shift on reverse. A common symbol on the tetrobols of this series, the swastika is previously unknown on the tetradrachms.
