KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.35 g, 9h). Memphis mint. Struck under Ptolemy I Soter, circa 322 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; rose in left field, ID below throne. Cf. Price 3970-3971; Zervos issue II. VF, struck with slightly worn dies, graffito (’K’) in field on reverse. Well centered and struck on a broad flan.
