IONIA, Uncertain. Circa 650-600 BC. EL 1/12 Stater – Hemihekte (1.21 g). Milesian standard. Striated type. Flattened striated surface / Incuse square punch with serrated edges. Weidauer 9 var. (plain-edged punch); Traité I 13 var. (same); cf. SNG Kayhan 683 (1/48 stater; same rev. punch). VF.

This and the following lot are from an apparent subvariety of the striated type, which used a reverse punch with serrated edges. Both lots are also struck from the same reverse punch as the Kayhan 1/48 stater.
