IONIA, Uncertain. Circa 650-600 BC. EL 1/6 Stater – Hekte (2.38 g). Milesian standard. Striated type. Flattened striated surface / Cleft and incuse square punch. Cf. Triton IX, 941 (1/4 stater), otherwise unpublished. VF. Possibly unique.

The combinations of reverse clefts and punches are typically consistent within each denominations of the striated series. This particular piece, as a hekte, should have two punches and no cleft.
