CILICIA, Tarsos. Circa 425-400 BC. AR Stater (8.88 g, 1h). Satrap on horseback riding left; behind, eagle perched left on branch; monogram below / Archer in kneeling-running stance right, drawing bow; monogram behind. SNG France 213 var. (symbols); SNG Levante -. VF, dark find patina, some roughness. Extremely rare early stater.
It is possible that the horseman is actually one of the late kings (Syennesis III?) of Cilicia.
