Constantine IX, Monomachus. 1042-1055. AV Histamenon Nomisma (4.43 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Facing bust of Christ, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels; nimbus with seriffed cross arms, crescents in upper quarters / Crowned facing bust, wearing short beard and loros, holding cruciform sceptre and globus cruciger. DOC III 3; SB 1830. Good VF, reverse struck with slightly rusty die.
